
Thank you for exploring Lino Lakes, a growing community located about 20 minutes north of either downtown Minneapolis or St. Paul. As our name implies, there are thirteen lakes for you to enjoy - plus a number of great parks, trails, and other outdoor attractions guaranteed to help retain our town's natural setting and wildlife habitat. The Rice Creek Chain County Regional Park is a 2,550 acre park reserve located on a on beautiful George Watch Lake that hosts the Wargo Nature Center and Rice Creek Campground. Lino Lakes contains numerous city parks and trails which guarantee our town will maintain its natural settings and wildlife habitat and nearby Chomonix Golf Course offers the most scenic round of golf in the Twin Cities with elegant banquet facilities available in the Blue Heron Room. It's no surprise that the City of Lino Lakes won the Minnesota Environmental Initiative Award for the best environmental project in the Green Building and Development category.

Activities and Fun for the Entire Family!
Ambassador Program - Miss Lino Lakes and Ambassadors will represent Lino Lakes at many parades, functions, and events throughout the year. These young ladies lead by example and exhibit a positive mental attitude, dignity, and the spirit of community involvement.
Ambassador Program Candidates must: 1) Live or work in the quad-city area which includes: Lino Lakes, Centerville, Circle Pines, Lexington and Columbus Township, 2) Be between the ages of 17 and 22, 3) Not be married or pregnant at any time in their life, 4) Be willing and able to attend community events and activities for a full year, and 5) Have a longing for a lifetime's worth of cherished memories.
Prizes and scholarships will be awarded to the three Ambassadors which will be chosen based on participation. The coronation date is in August. For further information on registration and sponsorship, please contact the Royalty Coordinator at 763-434-0614.

The city's economic development efforts produced a considerable increase in new business establishments over the past few years - including Super Target, Kohl's, and plans for a new mixed-use downtown development that includes a YMCA and retail, office and entertainment facilities.
